Gospel Opportunity in Nigeria
The Economist charts how the world population will likely look in 2050. More than half of global growth will come from Africa. At the top of that list is Nigeria, currently the 7th most populous country in the world.
The world as we know it is changing. The Economist recently charted how Nigeria, currently ranked as the 7th most populous country in the world, is forecast to ascend to #3, just above the U.S. within the next thirty-five years.

If this is anywhere near accurate, then we need to give MUCH more attention to missions in Africa, and especially Nigeria.
I am thankful for missionaries that I know who are laboring hard in Uganda, Malawi, and South Africa. And I am confident that there are other faithful men spread across the land. Yet as a pastor, I get missions support requests most every month, and these missionaries are being sent primarily to Europe and Asia Pacific.
All people need the gospel, both large and small countries. According to Revelation 5:9, Christ has purchased with His blood people “from every tribe and tongue and culture and nation.” He will save people from all over the world. And there is great gospel work and growth happening right now in many different places around the world.
But there is gospel opportunity visible in that chart…
Want to impact many people for Christ? Head to Nigeria. Train local pastors and help them plant faithful churches. You have the potential to transform millions. I’m praying that God raises up many to go.
